Nestled in the heart of the Méribel Altiport forest, our high-altitude restaurant stands out for its warm atmosphere and friendly spirit, a far cry from the classic establishments located at the foot of the slopes.

A high-altitude restaurant like no other

The brainchild of a local family, Le Clos Bernard is a mountain restaurant unlike any other. Inspired by Austrian conviviality, the founders wanted to move away from the classic pattern of French establishments set up at the foot of ski lifts or slopes.

They've imagined a place that's off-center, intimate and warm, a restaurant that you discover at the bend of a snow-covered path, like a well-kept secret. A place you have to earn.

The beginnings of a family adventure

In the beginning, they were just a small team of ten or so enthusiasts. The bosses never hesitate to put their hands to the grindstone every day, whether it's washing up, cooking or serving.

One thing led to another, and the team expanded to include new profiles: sommelier, pastry chef, reception and customer loyalty manager, events project manager, etc. Today, there are almost forty seasonal and year-round employees who bring this exceptional place to life, while preserving its cachet and its typical, friendly soul.

In December 2025, our establishment will celebrate its 10th anniversary! A decade of passion shared every day with our loyal clientele, whether from Courchevel, Val Thorens or Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. Travelers from all over the world meet here. But they're all looking for the same thing: an authentic restaurant, a real cocoon where you feel right at home.

Today, Le Clos Bernard is more than just a restaurant: it's a timeless interlude, a place for sharing and living, which makes Méribel shine beyond the 3 Vallées ski area.
